Collection: Black Grommets
Rubber Grommets provide protection for wires and cable when they need to be pulled through a drilled out hole, and are usually used for protection of holes drilled in sheet metal.
Grommets are available in 1/8'' groove and 1/16'' groove to fit different panel thicknesses.
Along with the groove thickness, there are two other dimensions that are important to note: The inner diameter of the grommet, which will be the 'finished' hole size once the grommet is installed, and the panel hole size, which is the size of hole that must be drilled into your panel in order to install the rubber grommet.
Made from durable rubber, our grommets will hold up to the toughest of applications and protect your wiring from chaffing and rubbing.
Nylon grommets are used for protecting wires as they pass through thicker panels of wood, metal, or other materials.
When used correctly, they will prevent chaffing and eventual compromise of your electrical wires due to motion or vibration.
Nylon grommets come in the following hole sizes: 1/8", 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", and 1" diameters. We also carry a universal grommet that can accommodate small to larger bundles of wire or cable up to 1/2" in diameter.
The backside of the grommets have a 'retention' clip that will hold the grommet in place once inserted into the mounting hole. The black nylon material is smooth and allows easy pulling of your wires through the center.
