'Trip and hold' Type 2 Bussmann short stop circuit breakers are also called Modified Reset breakers and are specialty 12 volt DC circuit breakers that, unlike automatic reset circuit breakers, when exposed to a short circuit or over current fault, the circuit breaker will trip, and remain in the tripped state until power is removed from the breaker. This prevents the continuous cycling that happens with an automatic reset circuit breaker. Because of this, we recommend that trip and hold type 2 circuit breakers always be used with a switch, so that power can be switched off to the breaker, allowing it to reset. These Bussmann circuit breakers come in amperage ratings of 10 amps, 15 amps, 20 amps, 30 amps, 40 amps, and 50 amps. Connections to the breakers are made using the two #10-32 studs - one labeled BAT for power, and the other labeled 'AUX' for the accessory circuit you want to protect. These breakers are available with or without mounting feet, with the mounting feet coming out the sides or the ends. Manufactured by Cooper Bussmann, a subsidiary of Eaton Corp.
